Under the Influence is an up-tempo "burning" swing tune and was originally commissioned by the TCU Jazz Band under the direction. and "influence". of Curtis Wilson. Due to it's tight harmonic voicings, technically demanding saxophone work and fast tempo, it should be considered a moderately advanced piece and is best suited for a band with a "locked-in" rhythm section.
