Composers words. I currently live on a small Greek island, Kalymnos. An island that is well-known and popular among mountain climbers. This composition grew out from sitting on the hot and sunny white-painted terrace, with a view over the lemon tree in the garden, and with the mountains in the background. I feel some freedom spirit in the song. The name, Kondo 1, is simply because of the short format. Kondo is the Greek word for short. Basically, it is a short orchestral composition. I see a series of Kondos that together make up for a larger suite.
