The Heinrich Schütz. Sacred Choral Music collection can be performed vocally and. or instrumentally. These motets offer smaller choirs and ensembles new possibilities to perform these works, based on historically-informed performance practice. The Basso Continuo realisation follows the composer’s intention of using the score merely as a basis for performance, but with its relatively simple realisation it allows performers to create their own version. Heinrich Schütz was a German composer and organist, widely regarded as the most important German composer before Bach and one of the most important composers of the 17th century.
