Harvestsong is a brilliant harvest festival for Key stages 1 and 2 from Sheila Wilson. It contains five varied songs and also provides all the linking narration, this is an easy but impressive Festival celebration. Songs include. the heart-aching Shoo-wop-de-waddy-waddy. a farming song with actions. about lands with no harvest, and the toe-tapping, celebratory Thank You Song. There is a multicultural look at how the harvest is celebrated round the world and a strong Citizenship throughout, fulfilling the requirements of all Religious Edition Key State 1 and 2 Harvest Curriculum aspects. There are plenty of opportunities to include extra material from class and even a small competition to see if parents and teachers can name some unusual fruits and vegetable which can be brought in or drawn by the children. Lasting approximately 20 minutes including the narration, though may be extended and there is option and guidance to do this. The music book contains the piano accompaniment, guitar chords, instrument parts and the vocal and singing parts. The CD contains 10 tracks, demonstration and backing tracks for each of the pieces in the Festival.
