Gillock gives helpful visual directives in this winsome duet composed in 1988: Upon “entering the park” (the intro), an animated section “chasing butterflies” takes place before switching to humorous well-articulated measures “feeding the ducks”. This is followed by a short mellow section: “lying in the grass–watching the clouds”, before ending with an energetic bang, “hurrying home!” The activity changes help the students create visual mental pictures to help make this piece a rewarding collaborative experience. NFMC selection 2008-10.
