SKU: A0.966176

Composed by Joe Rosochacki. 20th Century,Instructional,Jazz,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 7 pages. Joe Rosochacki #2010139. Published by Joe Rosochacki (A0.966176).

Birds is the second movement of the Farm Suite, Things the Fly, of which 'Afutter' as the first and 'Knock' will be the third. Birds' motiff is the m3 interval. It was inspired by the bird calls I heard outside our home, most being whistles and minor third intervals. The flute has the first call and the violin responds. The melody is supported by the guitar jazz chords. The fingered chords will be most helpful to the guitar student. Birds is a neo-Romantic piece that will lift up any spirits by its serenity. Substitutions could be used i.e. 2 flutes, 2 violins, and piano/harp could play the guitar part, providing the performer could make one cleff into two and remember the guitar automatically transposes down one octave.
