Based on 'La Folia' and the variations by Corelli. It's
not all Corelli. Between the variations there is an
ostinato in another style, moving through all the minor
keys. In Holland we cal it a 'kwintencirkel', a circle
of fifths.
I arrived here thinking this version was for flute, oboe, and piano. I did not realize it also has a violin part. Fortunately, the "other version" is for flute, oboe, and piano, just what I wanted. I will soon try it out, along with my pianist and oboist friends.
